Discovering Chester

As the weeks go by, finding ways to enjoy time while we have to stay at home gets much more challenging. One of the main ways we're finding adventure is through exploring our town and finding new walking trails that lend themselves to natural ways to "social distance" while being outdoors.  Mostly I look for places where Chewie can have some room to play.  Steps from our house is an old Class VI road with only minimal areas impacted by the April rains and spring thaws.  A lot of internet research resulted in curiosity as to whether this would pass through to other roads and with only mild regret that I didn't wear some waterproof hiking boots we made it back to pavement.  Chewie was even more delighted that half way through, the road was washed out by a perfect sized stream.

I feel fortunate that we live in a rural area where going outside without running into people is easy. We've been lucky enough to turn weekend walks into afternoon adventures of finding new trails, overcoming obstacles and getting some much needed vitamin D.
